Yes, "Lucky" is his name. Just heard from my wife, Lucky got high marks from the vet! We really appreciate all the responses, suggestions and some laughs as well! While I am new to this forum, I really like it and everyone has made me feel so welcomed! Thank you! Lucky's staff & entourage

And I mean that, with all my heart. There's a curse that follows the "Lucky"s. They have the strangest accidents befall them, or come down with bizarre illnesses that send specialists back to their references looking for obscure forgotten pathologies. Cross my heart and hope to die. Call your vet up and ask him/her "Hey, this psycho online who claims to be a veterinarian herself says we were nuts to name this cat Lucky, any truth to that?" Chances are you'll get some variant on "Well.... I didn't want to say anything, but" |

ziegl is a vet radiologist. I'm sure that she has some experience in traumatic pet injuries. I'd go back to naming the cat Penguin, if I were you...

My belief is that it's psychological. It's more of a memorable impression when a cat/dog/person named lucky has an accident. Much less memorable if Fred has a fracture. Pay the laddie at door please.

Well, "Lucky" is still lucky. No real issues other than his need to wake us up EVERYDAY around 5:00 am. He is about 25 feet high on the limb.
