Our big (21 pounds) male cat responds to his name, Arturo, or just "Big Guy". I think he thinks he has two names.

In the past I've named cats after favourite book characters. Our present cat got her name because of her liking for spending time on top of the wardrobe and tall bookcases. We call her Hillary. (Edmund not Clinton) Since he likes the computer chair he could have a name like The Geek. I like the Tiger Woods suggestion myself. He has stripes and he plays with a golf ball. Perfect. So........what would you name a cat that just loves to follow you down the hallway, and pounce on your leg? Seriously, he wraps his paws around my ankle and bites my feet. He especially likes to hit me right behind the knee.....I've learned to walk slowly here. miserable 17 lb fur-ball. |

Guess it wouldn't matter what he was called.......he won't answer anyway. My daughter rescued him off the streets as a tiny bit of fluff and THEN remembered she was allergic....so who had to take him? Mom. she named him "Sammy" Why, I'll never understand. But, he's crawled into our hearts and here he'll stay.

When her dad moved away, and she adopted me IMO just didn't seem to fit, so now she's "Kitty Girl". She's a beautiful subdued calico.

Just be warned when it comes to Shadow: we had a little plastic play castle downstairs in my room and every night, except for Sunday nights, the cat would spend the time from sun-down to sun-up running up and sliding back down the slide. And he levitated... |
