How much carrying capacity do I have? Never mind, I just looked again. I would swoop down on a largish city and scoop up as many people as i could from the fringe area of the population mass on a random basis, since I only have half an hour. i would do that because the inner city tends to have a mix of socio-economic statuses that can skew a genetic sampling and i would want to have the best chance of getting a good genetic mix that I could get. (I would have been on the wrong side of the Eugenics Wars, btw...) Last edited by pshrynk; 12-17-2009 at 06:02 PM. |

Hey, desertgrandma! What is the name of the book? I don't have any answers to your question of who to take or why.... But, when the fuzzies clear from my head, I may want to read this book. Thanks. |

If I could only pick a hundred, I'd grab 99 "celebrities" that are famous for being famous, plus Will Ferrell. Then I'd drive that gods-damned ship hard straight into the Sun. Cheers, Marc |

That's easy. I'll launch a heavy military campaign, wiping out most of the population. Whoever is left I'll assume has the best survival skills.

How can you chose who to save if you only have less than 2 hours? Did the captain know humanity? If he knew them, he'd fly away as fast as he could. If he doesn't, how could you pick? What I would do? With my knowledge? I'd leave them. I'd grab the contents of several libraries and museums across the world however. People are just more trouble than they are worth... |

Oh, I'll let you guys choose, you seem to have it under control already Just one thing: be sure to exclude anybody who ever asks any question beginning with "what if..." |
