Well, to quote a friend who was visiting last weekend - "OMG, it's frickin' COLD in Seattle!" I actually live in the foothills NE of Seattle so we're generally a few degrees colder than right in town, but we haven't seen temps above freezing in about four days. The last couple of days the temps have ranged from lows around -12C to highs around -5C. This area isn't known for temps like this, especially not this early in the season - our average low temp for this time of year is above freezing.

Let's see it is night here and about 26 degC. Life in the tropics =) Due to the monsoons, it rains almost every day.. Didn't rain today though.

Well, it's sunny today, although a blizzard went through yesterday and now there's round about 18" of snow on the ground. And it's COLD! It was -4F (-20C) this morning, though now it's warmed up to a nice and balmy 0F (-17.7C). And my mother in Florida is calling me up and laughing. xP |

Foggy! Absolutely fantastic fog. So thick I had to guide myself by the faint blinking of Christmas lights in the windows of houses. I walked up near the graveyard, to where you can see the caretaker's house and its amber glowing window-eyes. And on through the graveyard, the black snake path guiding me through to the silver shrouded fields beyond. If I can't have snow, I'll take fog any time |

Whoo Hoo! Our driveway just got plowed out (for the 3rd time in 24 hrs.)! But it's too cold to even think about going out! Even if it's starting to look like Mother Hubbard's cupboards in here! Yesterday our neighbor had to plow out our drive the second time, because the man delivering our firewood got himself stuck in the snow. He had called an hour earlier to see if the drive was passible, but by the time he got here it had already blown drifted shut again. BRRRR!!!

Ok so my new house is very tall. A few nights ago, it got REALLY windy (like, 60 mph gusts). It made my house shake and totally freaked me out. Now it's windy again, and although it's not nearly as bad, I'm still scared |
