Well look for laptops\netbooks with the su2300 processor, amazon.fr has a few with about the same specs as the acer one, but higher priced, there's also the su4100 processor wich is faster but its sold on much more expensive models.

Just enjoying the 4 day weekend off. Went out for lunch and then to the Apple store. My Son's MacBook needed some repairs. I can't believe how mobed the store was, I thought the economy was bad. You can't tell by looking in the Apple store.

Also, ripping all my movies on DVD to my hard drive so I can play them all without having to search through DVDs or worry about finger prints or scratches.

Went into the Sony Style store today while I was at the Mall to check out the 600 and 300. They look very nice. The 600 screen looks fine to me. The 300 is a nice little device. Might get one for the Wife for Christmas.

The smaller Apple stores in the UK are always, always heaving. The cult's(*) UK HQ on Regent Street rarely is though, mostly by virtue of its size.

I'd've thought there'd be more chance of Finder prints on thngs if you were storing them on a Mac?

(* It's quite un-nerving going in there - it's all open plan and glass stairs and walkways and things, and there's loads of people with name tags all dressed similarly but not identical smiling at you in a faintly disturbing manner.)

I'm about to blow hundreds of dollars and an entire day to take the family to the Texas Renaissance Festival to watch ridiculous people in preposterous costumes act silly while we eat too much food, observe scantily clad young bosoms, listen to the occasional good music, negotiate massive crowds, and have loads of fun.

Waking up from a nightmare wouldn't be too bad at the moment for me. Would mean that I actually was asleep. Haven't had any decent sleep for the last 3 nights

and getting to the stage where someone has shuffed sandpaper under my eyelids

Might try actually not to go to bed tonite - no point as I just toss & turn. Maybe I can sleep tomorrow night
