that would probably work, but it seems a bit pricey, considering our other option (especially as i have free overseas calls with voip through my isp...). we'll discuss it and let you know, okay ?

It does seem a bit pricey, and I can use skype for the free calls, too. But if the price is between us, then it might be worthwhile to get a few more people involved to split the cost with, and just leave the hassle to pshrynk...

Oh yes!! You must watch Morecambe and Wise, they're the greatest British comedy double-act ever. Even the cast members of Python would acknowledge Eric and Ernie (Morecambe and Wise's) position as the top of the British Comedy ladder!

They made 4 films together and countless TV shows. Every Christmas they did a special on BBC that was the highlight of Christmas day. More people watched it than the Queen's Speech


Here's their signature tune "Bring Me Sunshine" (they sang this every show)



And here's one of their classic sketches "The Breakfast Sketch"



And here's the Magnificent Two in bed together

I envy the hours upon hours and the ensuing lifetime of smiles you're about to experience with Morecombe & Wise. For us Brits (many of us) Morecambe & Wise were a national treasure, a yearly ritual and close friends all wrapped up together. If we ever change the flag and the national anthem of Britain; I'd want a picture of Morecambe and Wise dancing on it, and the National Anthem to be "Bring Me Sunshine".

i can understand why already. (and i know how you feel ; i get that feeling whenever i can introduce anyone to, for instance, wodehouse, or jacques tati, or various other cultural treasures. )

Quick first impressions:

• The lid is too shiny, it picks up fingerprints easily, I wish they sold the white version in the US because i read that the fingerprints don't show up as much. (The white one was only released in japan an europe)
  
  
• The keyboard is great, the keys are large and i'm typing as I usually do on a regular laptop keyboard.
  
  
• Its light!
  
  
• Tried some light Word processing and web surfing and the screen lets me see a lot of content without having to scroll as much as on a 8.9" screen.
  
  
• This ain't no atom netbook! I've run a few light programs so far(chrome, office,) and its responding about as fast as my desktop pc, I have office , chrome and a few folder windows open right now and its doing fine .
