It was filmed in Minnesota, just up river from us about 45 minutes. But they did talk about La Crosse once or twice. Personally, if Sophia Loren was part of teh package, I'd complain a lot less about the weather...

hee ! last year winter when i was on my way to the park while it was snowing so much, a couple of handymen were building a snowman in the parking lot of the optical research center near there. they got a bit embarassed when they saw me although i thought it was very sweet. i didn't manage to get a photo of them though. i would have wanted to take a candid photo, unposed, while they were piling up the snow, but they were too self-conscious after they noticed and did that silly thing where they very self-consciously acted casual.
