If the page had to be translated from Japanese, I would guess the price might be yen, not dollars.

I like the A5 size, myself. And yeah, let's hope that price is in Yen... that would be about $100!

At those prices they must send a tech out to change your batteries or recharge them for you. Then again maybe that is the price of a very long extension cord.

Edit: Re size - i just think the hostess presenting it is a bit on the teensy side. A4 is A4 (is A4).

Heh, I figured it was just a perception shift from looking at the Sony's screen so much.

This reminds me of one the very first computer virus I had to deal with... it was the Lamer Exterminator virus causing quite some ugly Guru meditations on my good old Amiga 500.

She's holding the A4 reader in front of her, with her arms outstretched. Perspective makes it look much bigger than it is.

The cost seems to be per 10 prototype units.

Personally, I think it's too big and heavy to be convenient. For a screen that size, you need flexible eInk.

For casual reading, I'd agree with you completely. But I'm looking at it from an office/academic/lawyer type perspective of handling/marking up/etc. dox that are going to be in A4 in the first place, I think it'd be fine for that use.

Do not taunt HAPPY COUPON! Heh. I doubt that someone who could afford this unit, whatever the final price, will be a) using coupons or b) waiting for the screen to refresh.

Those prices are for a 10 units batch. Really, I find it quite amusing how every single report just copied the price from Pocket Lint without even thinking to check it with the original source.

When i saw Yokos' "private meditation" with the "ommmm" borders that's the first thing that popped in my head

I had an A500, then an A1200. Could never get over selling them
