			you know, i didn't think so, but i just checked on wikipedia http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jongleur , and it turns out in the middle ages, yes, jongleurs did also sing or recite poetry like bards etc., along with juggling obviously (jongleur means juggler), and even showing animals. i always thought they were more like the court jester (they did have that role as well). learn something new every day !
