Why do these pictures look so much more attractive than the original ones? Better photographer? |

Man it looks thin too. The color screen is a nice size.

I don't think I'd want all that extra real estate hanging off the bottom while I was actually reading. B&N's version might be better proportined IMHO

Wonder if the name, Alex, came from thinking of "a lexicon"? I like the potential of this sort of design. The display has far, far more potential over the color strip on the Nook. Still, just as with the Nook, I wanna see it work in the wild not some marketing demo...no matter what the whole competition thing is nice. BTW, as I view this design once you begin reading a book on the eink display and the LCD is off, just as with the Kindle's keyboard, the lower portion will sort of disappear and you won't even notice it's there. I was doubtful of the K1's keyboard and of all the things I do not like about the design of the Kindle, the keyboard is NOT a distraction for me. |

Am I the only one that finds it a horrible looking thing? I find it looks way out of proportion...

The lake photo in the lower display is photoshopped on it... Will it make Photoshopdisasters blog? |

What makes you say that? I've done a lot of photography and photo editing and the large version doesn't look like a paste-in (blurriness from the screen is pretty apparent), and the photo displayed on it was in the device's gallery. Reflections or lack thereof are a non-issue in that position with that pose. It's highly possible that curves/levels are are applied to level out the ambient/display lighting, but it's probably not a comp.
