Hmm. Let's assume that the human lifespan is 80 years, or 29,200 days.

If one is allowed 100,000 flashes, then a person could still reflash three times a day and four times on Sundays ...

...... I would just hope that Bookeen retain previous firmware so there could be roll-backs if anything goes majorly wrong .....

( p.s. is it possible to make a backup of existing firmware from our Gen3's - or is the only source Bookeen - I'm running 681 and with only 1 reset in 15 months I am not overly eager to change without re-assurance it is worthy )

We went from "soon" to "very soon" in only a matter of months. I wonder what comes after "very soon". Any suggestions? Would "very very soon" be too obvious?
I guess we'll find out in a couple months when they hide another new small post on their blog.

I've been using 796 on both a 64MB and 512MB Cybook for some time now. No real problems with crashing.

However, there were a couple of "FULL REPLACEMENT" older firmware updates that could resurrect the older Cybooks in case of complete firmware failure. You'd have to ask Bookeen for one.
