Actually, though, Astak is going to have a special Christmas Pack coming out!! We are assembling items for it now. It will have about 230 Christmas and Thanksgiving eBooks free and we are investigating adding an eBook Reader Light and a special Red Leather case and a lot more. Too early for details but it should be really fun!

Sounds fun, but since you mentioned it well in advance, I thot I might suggest the availability of an alternative color to red (perhaps the very attractive "standard" leather). Not everyone is as enamored of red as Santa is.

However, I doubt the color would be a deal-breaker unless the unit color was locked into red as well.

Since I am still trying to make an informed decision, waiting for a Christmas package won't be a strain. But I gotta make my decision in time to let my wife know which one to surprise me with under the tree.

Hmm. Will need to consider this option. My current white unit attracts dirt too easily, and the '0' button is light grey already, from constant turning of pages. Same with the tan leather cover.

hrmm. Not quite sure.

I was going to be purchasing one for my mother, but last week I had to pay back Housing almost 1200 bucks. I'm all for paying what i owe, so I have no hard feelings about it, but it sure cut deep in my Christmas and Tax money. (self-employeed, so i have to save my taxes). So a free device would be nice.

I know what you mean about cutting into Christmas money. I was going to buy a PP for the wife, but with the recent hot water cylinder failure (killed our renovation budget) and the expected arrival of our second child in December, I have been told not to spend any money until bubs is here and things have settled down

I'd really love to win one for her also.

So Griff, between you and I lets hope at least 2 are given away

Yeh thanks...I might have to try my hand at startup/shutdown pictures huh? I think the number going to be given away was dependent upon the number who entered.

I have this funny feeling my entry didn't go through as this morning I got a notification from last thursday saying the winners are drawn in 3 days and I need 1 more friend for my chance to win. I don't have any friends on FB, I only signed up to enter the comp, didn't know it was a group effort needing me and friends to enter. Oh well.
