Now, that you mention it: I think the problem is that Bookeen is run by the same men who tell their wives that they will take out the trash *bleep* (ugly word we all don't want to hear deleted)

Hand over the company to women, maybe that'll improve things...

Still no firmware, it's just wrong

I have definitely learned my lesson here, I will never purchase another Bookeen product, ever.

163 days to go. Here is my logic. Its only 163 days until April 1.

I don't know if traditions are the same in your country, but April 1 is a special day here:

I figure that its the one day that we can all plan for as the final release day for this software.

Why? Is your Cybook defect? I have mine for over a year now and still use and love it every day. I find this endless bickering over an update highly amusing. I'd like folder support but not that much that I'm annoyed that I don't have it. And for the rest, my Cybook works fine as it is.

All Cybooks are defect. For example PDF-files crash all the times. And if you bought it in the first batch you got a Cybook with some serious bugs concerning dictionaries and books failing to open. These bugs were fixed in a firmware release but they reduced the battery time with 3-4 days in this update. So you could choose which defect to have.

It is all fine and dandy if you have 4 or 5 books. But as soon as you attempt to put 50 books or more, it becomes unmanageable. They definitely discourage putting more than a few books on the device. Now if it had folder view it would be a whole different story. Is it defective? Perhaps. It is at least very poorly designed software/firmware, which should have been rectified many months ago. I am through with Bookeen products for sure. If this firmware ever does come out I will upgrade, but I will never purchase another product from them.
