How would I make a wishlist?

Previously, I have downloaded the JPG image of the cover of the book that I want to have and stored it with the appropriate file name in the corresponding author directory.

Now that I'm switching to Calibre

how would I do this? How can I add a book, without actually adding a file?

Click the arrow next to the add button

I also add a tag called WISHLIST to the entries so it is easy to search for them

Follow-up question: is there a way to make an item look different in the list? Grey text instead of black, or a different background or something?
