But you´re missing something with the word "soon" - in German, we use to say, "Paper is patient". Same goes for electronically distributed word. What I am saying, is the could have written, "New firmware out tomorrow", for at some distant day, it will be true

Mabe "the firmware will be out next Monday" has the same meaning as "your cheque is in the mail". So really don't hold your breath ...

Yep, for the same principle also a broken clock says the truth twice a day.

Get it people, it isn't bookeen... it is just the temporal context that is late.

As French people define and accept "soon" completely different then anywhere else on this globe I think I'll shift my search and find me a French partner - this would make the relationship between man & woman sooo easy.
- honey, will you clean out the garage? I'll reply "soon, honey" and this has (finally) no implications should I do this in 2015 ......
- honey, will you vacuum the house? "Soon" and I can finish reading my entire library of e-books without any implications...
However it could backfire as well
-Honey, when will we make love? And she replies ... "Soon"
