Well, maybe Bookeen had a full stock of firmware updates, but they used them all for their Opus devices and are simply sold out. And, as you all know - each Bookeen firmware is carved by hand and a true original. Mine is even signed! |

During that long French Holiday in August, they left a USB cable un-terminated. It just dangled in the air and those little firmwares escaped into the air.

Actually from what I heard, the firmware is done, complete with intricate hand-made carving for each of us, but they're still working on the DRM so they can be sure we won't pirate the firmware... soon... |

They had a box of newly minted firmwares right next to a box of Brie. Some folk like the smell and taste of Brie but these little firmwares did not. So, they ran away and hid somewhere in the French countryside. They may NEVER be seen again.

Le brie is not one of the most smelling french cheese. You should prefer Munster or un Camembert bien fait, or another "Fromage qui pue", but not the brie.

Maybe the Brie melted over the other box and now all the little firmwares are inextricable stuck in a huge ball of cheese. Which would be quite a loss, French Brie is excellent!

Please provide details of your definition of ..... SOON!!!!. For instance; do the 5 period dots followed by a space, the capital letters and the 4 exclamation marks, all imply anything significant ..... |

Going off topic ..... AGAIN!!!! Cheese is absolutely on topic if you consider Bookeen's news policy cheesy or slightly better than melted brie (which, btw, really would be a total loss). Maybe the brie/firmware mixture served as dinner for a nice cheese fondue or raclette evening among Bookeen's programmer(s). GeoffC, we're just killing time until the arrival of the firmware update. Though, considering the length we're waiting, it's more of a time massacre by now ... Last edited by K-Thom; 10-14-2009 at 02:03 PM. |
