Umf !
I can't read music with my gen3 anymore !
I see them on my sd in folder view, and when I try to read them, "no elements".
Can someone with an updated gen 3 confirm ?

Don't we all wish we could help you out here, Eowyn. Sadly we don't have an upgraded Cybook. Perhaps by next Monday...

Still, i need to know if it's my cybook or a bug indeed. I need to find my gen3 cable again. (I had forgotten about that, the long starting times and all).

Ok, cybook don't see music on sd anymore. But it does on internal memory. And my connector seams defective indeed.

As others have said, sorry, we have no 'upgraded' Cybook Gen3s today. Perhaps by next Monday.

I don't know why you are wasting our time posting your question here. You'll have better luck getting a meaningful dialogue with the other folks who got that firmware (hint hint: in the French Cybook forum).

I know of a few websites that make this foolproof...I can't remember all of them but i've done this many times before...only example i can give is Dell for sure... here's how they can make it work, and i swear FOOLPROOF, I've worked with idiots who know nothing of page navigation and have managed this...

-Enter Serial no into box (there is an image/instructions showing you how)
- If correct, page directs you to DL page with instructions on how to install or will email
-If a non valid serial no is entered, you go back, or rather the page takes you back and tells you what you've done wrong...try again...

oh, and if you can't work out that system, then you are worse than my mother =/ who can't even change the TV channel by punching a number into the TV remote...

This makes it easy when dealing with different devices =D
Hell, The Xbox 360 has many~ different hardware revisions, same for the PS3...and yup...updates can kill some of them too =O

Also, the waiting isn't too bad, at least the device is usable...Waiting for something you may never get however....

Edit 2 - also, yeah, i check the forums etc and the bookeen website to check for the update, i updated my device to 1.2 and experienced huge improvements, i don't read books, i've always read manga

Folder support is an epic hope, currently my flow to make things readible is extract (rename if needed) resize and convert to PDF which works nicely...but the renaming sometimes can be hectic ;_; even .zip support would be nice

Well, ePub is way cooler than mobi. (being able set different font is nice for reading)
And library mode too. But most of the improvement came from the switch to the opus, way more ergonomic than gen3. Menus are a bit of mess with gen3, as the "back" button is not that accessible.

Yes, ePub will make the reading much better for me since it have page numbers. I am currently reading only paper books mostly due to the lack of the functionality you get with page numbers.

And folders also makes it much easier to read more than one book at the same time.

I don't have that as an issue, from seeing the movement on the pageometer after the first few pages it is easy enough to guage whether it's going to be a long read or short ....

I'm lost on that explanation .... unless you refer to the library navigation - yes that is probably my only gripe about the gen3 ....
