I'm at 31, or will be when I finish Midnight's Children. Does anyone here keep a goodreads account?
Yeah, I think the collections are a bit weird, who's actually read the complete works of Shakespeare? I've read many, many of his plays, but not everything. What's the source for this list?

I'm at 42, but some of them are weird... for example, "the lion, the witch and the wardrobe" is part of "chronicles of Narnia", and both of them are in the list O.o

I participated way back when in the lists you are discussing. However, since then, we have gotten a whole bunch of new members with big brains and eclectic tastes. I would like to see how a new list for the present community compares to the list about a year ago. It might show some intriguing trends in our group. Gibbons are, of course, outlyers.

Some books on the list I own and will probably read at some point (Ulysses amongst them, so no certainties)

Some of the books on the list I have no intention on reading though..

I have read 23. It may not be much, but I have read The Cat in the Hat too. That should count for something. Shoudn't it? Dr. Suess is my favorite doctor.

I've read 57 - but did spend 3 years studying literature so it would be embarrassing if I could only claim to have read 6. A lot of them weren't on the course though!
