Just when I finally get the last kid in bed and have some time to spend on MR, most of the contestants of the Llounge (those of the non-American variety ~ yes, both North and South) are sleeping. I might catch a few on their lunch hour if I post in the morning, though.

nomesque, there is an obvious solution to your problem. two, actually. the obvious one : stop sleeping. you may have to work up to this gradually, but it's radically effective. if you feel this is not within your grasp immediately, just switch over your schedule to paris time (the ONLY civilised schedule to have. not that i'm on it. i seem to operating in my own personal time zone. but that's another story...). problem solved.

At first, I was a little miffed that, while I slept last night, you people were frolicking and carrying on and such without me. Then I saw Hasselhoff - twice. May I just say that I, too, would like laser eye surgery now?

Work has, indeed, gotten to me. I'm verbifying. I'm buzz(word)ing. I'm popping coffee candies like... well, candy. A couple of ZCDs sound perfect. And I'm not breaking my conditions of employment. They just say I can't come to work under the influence, once I'm here I can drink whatever the hell I want. Sophistry, you reckon? Nuh-uh, they took out the 'don't get under the influence at work' clause cos our French office threatened to strike en-masse. Funny folk.

Huh - it IS, apparently, on the side of gay and lesbian white supremacists, though, so at least it's not completely closed-minded? Quote:

Of course. In fact, you get extra roo points! Laser eye surgery won't help. Only staring very hard at the sun on a very sunny day in a place with no smog will burn THAT outta your retinas.
