Ya know...

I'm sick of wandering on here and finding out that everyone's been socialising while I slept. And that almost all the Lounge-dwellers seem to be asleep or *gasp* W***ING! when I want to gossip!

Sooo...

I propose the formation of a new club - the Other Side of the World Club - for those of us who are awake and chatty when sane and right-side-up folks are boringly busy.

(Other Side of the World from what, you ask? From whatever you want. Or don't want. You know.)

Can I get a second? And maybe a fiftieth? Is anyone else even awake???

There are getting to be quite a few of us from the outer limits.

Though I think we have some alien members on here from planets where the natives don't sleep.

I found that it is the same for me. I guess that is the price we pay for being members of an international forum.

(Right now it is Monday 9-21 10:47 pm) everyone across the "pond" have been in bed for a while and will be getting up by the time I go to bed.

And I think I've figured out that you are about 17 hours different from me (ahead 17 I think)...

I've learned to like talking to myself then being surprised the next day when someone talks back..

Yup, the price we pay, I know. An Aussie ebook-reader forum would be kinda boring, even if it did have Marc and Laine on it. But time-delay goss is just odd. It's like having a conversation on one of those old intercontinental lines where you could hear an echo of everything you said 5 seconds after you said it, and it took half a minute to get an answer. Except... worse! And I'm not whining, you see, I'm proactivising!

I've really become addicted to short stories. It's just enough reading for before work and just before bed. That way I'm not late for work and I don't stay up all night to finish..

I did, but I can't get away with reading stories at work... or rather, the constant task-switching really mucks up my capacity to follow a story. Conversely, it helps my capacity to write a manual. Weird. So I need to d/l stuff and then read it from my eee, or else grasp a few spare minutes when my eee still has battery left and I can still focus. BAH. I will get around to everyone else's fiction, I promises!
