Ah yes, the old shattered knees trick. We get those as well, not due to any ramming crests or such silliness. More due to the fact that when 100 pounds of Bernese has managed to pick up enough speed, they tend to be more or less forced to go in a straight line, you know, inertia and stuff like that

Oh, it ain't silly, as assorted friends who've had thousands of dollars worth of dental work, or eye surgery, or knee reconstructions, or been called on by police investigating suspected domestic violence, can attest. The ramming crest sits aboard a skull not unlike in shape and weight to a large housebrick, and an affectionate spur-of-the-moment "kiss" from them can involve bloodletting and bruising, much as if someone had thrown said housebrick at your face. When it is coming at the super-speeded-up motion of most any terrier, but with an Airedale Terrier's (the largest of the terriers) good 65 pounds of weight behind it, that brick head with ramming crest is akin to a trebuchet-launched warhammer being aimed squarely at your patellae (ironically, the same warhammer that the glazier said couldn't get through the security glass door that was smashed).

What they lack in weight, they make up for in singlemindedness, speed, stoicism and a stubborn ignorance of obstruction.

They can very often be silly (so silly they make Robin Williams on MDMA look like Steven Wright just washed down a couple of Valium with a pint of vodka), but the ramming crest isn't silly, any more than a spike on a military flail is silly. It's a hazard you learn to live with.

My videocard died on friday, and i think there is something wrong with my power supply/surge protector/Power outlet because my PC´s case was giving me electric shocks!


What i´m really going to hate is spending the equivalent of $300-400 for a $100 dolar videocard

I don't really know...ramming stuff? Perhaps theirs is not a housebrick but rather two pavers, and the ramming crest is overflow of mortar from the sandwiching of them both together.

Am I the only one who thinks "Angus Beef" has been ridiculously over-hyped? I mean every burger I've had that claimed to be Angus just tasted dry and not very flavorful.

Ok, besides the fact (and I've seen the shattered cars to prove it) that there is nothing worse than a Black Angus on a dark night, the reason they taste dry is that Angus is supposed to be leaner than other beef. Since it's the fat that makes meat juicy and tender, you see the oxymoron there. I'm a native Texan, raised on beef, and Angus is not, to be truthful, my favorite "brand" of cow. Of course, I'm spoiled to the fact that I could call the local deer packing plant (they all do cow in the off season) and pretty much go to the pasture and pick my beef on the hoof, pay the farmer so much per pound, and pick up my half a beef all wrapped nicely in butcher paper at the deer packing place in about a week.

Okay, I'll say this only once. I've lived in Texas for over 20 years and I've never had a piece of beef here that was as tasty as Iowa corn-fed beef.
