I figured it out. I loaded it into Calibre and then converted it into a book from there. Was nice as I also could change the cover art!. When completed it was normal size. What I notices also the original file was like 4MG and when I went to stanza it shot up to 15MG |

how to find kindle FOLDER (and ebook files) in iphone using iPhoneBrowser v1.9

Hi guys, I am having a lot of trouble finding the kindle app in my iphonebrowser application. Does kindle have a different name going when you dig through the iphone files? Also i assume that i place the .mobi files in the "var" section, correct? if so, where? |

True. But OSX Terminal has a nice "Find" feature that can search through the text buffer. If my unix skilz were better I'd tell you how to use sed and awk to display what you want. Like I admitted, it's a kludge, but it works! ;-)

I think the "invalid file format" means it's a Topaz encrypted book, so you're SOL until someone cracks Topaz. The "invalid encryption type: 0" means that the book is not encrypted at all, so you don't need to De-DRM it, you can go right ahead and convert it to mobi or whatever format you want. :-)

What I find easy to access (or remember) when using iPhonebrowser is is to start with opening: /private From there, choose /var/mobile/Applications and find your own Kindle App folder. cheers

Well..why go through four subfolders (/private/var/mobile/application/) when you can go through just two subfolders (/user/Application/) and achieve the same result?

 Very Easy

Just go to your Amazon account and manage your Kindle. Even if you don't have an actual Kindle and are just using the "Kindle for Mac" or Kindle iPhone App you can select whatever book you've just bought to be sent to either device no matter what your original selection was (e.g., iphone). In this case select "Deliver to 'Kindle for Mac'" and it is done within seconds... no jailbreaking needed.
