				Art on the iRex

As I am a hobby artist, one of my initial motivations for buying the iRex was to use it as a digital sketchboard. After installing Xournal, initial results do seem to be promising. It's not really suitable for creating finished art, but it is a huge help when coming up with basic perspective and composition for a more finished work - and these are the things I need to practice the most if I want to make progress as an artist. In this thread, I want to explore the possibilities of using the iRex as a digital sketchboard, and also post the occasional piece of work at various degrees of completion. Here is my first sketch: |

Not really - I don't think that sketch took me more than 15 minutes to make. No, because I didn't really see the point for the kind of drawings I want to do. Layers are great when you want to do precision work, but for a sketch it doesn't matter much if you put the occasional line wrong. |

Since the drawing itself looked somewhat bare, I colorized it with Painter X: There might be some potential to this technique... |

is your input lag also higher with xournal than with the normal scribbling function in pdf? because its really impossible to scribble something in xournal |

The lag is noticeable, but I haven't really made time comparisons yet with the normal scribblings to determine if it is slower.
