So.......did you bite the bullet and get a flu shot? Either one?

Post it here, and let us know if you have ANY side effect. Did you get sick within a couple of days? Was your arm sore? Did you turn into a drone because of what was put into it? Inquiring minds want to know.

I'll start.

Because of his underlying condition, husband and I got our regular flu shots today at the doc's office. Not the H1N1, that won't be released until October.

Two hours passed, I've grown no tail, a third eye, or gotten nauseous..........yet. Will update daily.

How do you know there isn't a 3rd eye? It could be behind your kneecap, but inside your pants leg, and you couldn't see out of it because it is dark in there.

I got it last year, I'm not getting it this time. Besides of having all the secondary effects, a little over one month later I got a major flu, right in Christmas.

There's too many mutations around. A flu shot certainly is better than none, but I don't want to endure a mild flu (secondary effect). Working with that sucks.

And the curious thing is that I didn't had the flu in the previous 3 years before the vaccine shot...

I'll be getting a flu shot this year, my Oncologist said I should. Although he said to hold off with the H1N1 for now.

I got the seasonal flu shot on Thursday. Other than the band-aid still on my arm Friday morning, there was no evidence that I'd taken a shot. No soreness at all. I'm beginning to think that some people are more sensitive to certain vaccines -- tetanus vaccine will definitely make my arm sore!

By the way, I've been told that the H1N1 shot looks to be more effective if you have already had the seasonal shot. So that's why I didn't want to wait until October when my company would be handing out vouchers for free flu shots.

This is day two for me...........and I will say my arm is little sore, at the injection site, but thats the only thing I've noticed....no other side effects.

I'll not take any shot. I hate needles and tend to stay away from them as much as I can. Only when there's an absolute need will I go close to one (the last time was for a shot because I went to India, about 3 years ago)

I get a flu shot every autumn and will again this week. I expect to also get one dose of the H1N1 vaccine in October. I've always encouraged my wife and daughters to get one, too. None of us has ever had a serious viral infection. Of course, I have no way of knowing if that's because we've been vaccinated. Nor have we experienced any side effects from the shots except a mildly sore arm the following day.

oh no!!!!! it's a red x!!!!!

I got the flu shot AND the pnuemonia shot on friday. no issues except a sore arm, the pnuemonia side.

I never get them. Despite plenty of health problems, my immune system is strong. I haven't had the flu or a cold in over 3 years.
