Pigeon transfers data faster than ADSL

http://www.reuters.com/article/inter...5885PM20090909 So, how fast is your ADSL connection, measured in pigeons? |

Yeah, I heard that on the radio today. But ADSL doesn't leave droppings all over the place. ... or does it? |

Well, it depends on how are the rules set. If we compute transferring of 160GB of data over 10 km, there are few technologies that can beat pigeons. A pigeon can easily carry ten 16GB microSD cards. (Pigeon can carry 25grams) On the other hand, if you want to send 1MB of data from Norway to South Africa ... |

Ah, that might explain why I get frozen images on my TV all the time... I forgot to feed the pigeon. Or is it a hamster? All these new technologies are so confusing.

Tell me about it - I was just getting used to my hamster 1.2 after upgrading from pigeon 0.5b. And I've got a whole bunch of seeds, will they be compatible or do I just throw them away?

that's what drives me the most crazy with all these upgrades !! you stock up on seeds for pigeon 0.5b because you find a good deal, then you upgrade, and now you've got this stock of completely useless birdseed ! i've not heard any tests but i would be worried that pigeon 0.5b is incompatible and could damage the processor of the hamster 1.2. on the other hand, perhaps squirrel 0.1beta will be more backwards compatible, after all, don't people with bird feeders always complain the squirrels are stealing all the food ?

Carrier pigeons are at least officially documented in the Internet RFCs - number 1149: http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc1149.html (yes, rehashing the joke I made here ) |

I've heard a rumor that Llamas 2.0 are coming out soon, but has lots of Bugs 1.4 in them.
