Well, I just wanted folders... everything else they supposedly added, for epub and pdf I could live without. I wonder if it wouldn't be easier to fit on small cybooks if they just added folders.

Maybe they agreed to some pact with the devil that they would not release the mobi version until the ePub version is bug free - or the great master of below would collect their souls right now and reward them with an eternity of castigation.

What really irritates me is that I first learned that the Cybook was on it's way back from Fed Ex, not Bookeen, and that Bookeen has not bothered to respond to my questions about it. Regards, Alex

Certainly not my experience. I've had prompt answers to all the e-mails that I've sent Bookeen since buying my Opus.

I also have no interest in ePub, I just want Mobi with folder support. If they have the Mobi FW ready, why not just make it available now? Why would they want to publish both FW updates at once? They are just making their customers very unhappy... |

Maybe Harry just sends them "better" e-mails, i.e. things they *CAN* actually answer and that precludes asking for an exact release date for the next FW ;-)

Yesterday the German news site of Heise had an report about new Ukrainian readers based on Netronix hardware, but with EPUB and PRC and Adobe DRM, and PDF, RTF, HTML and TXT. And they povide an SDK. Maybe this will become the better firmware for the devices. I think the life will be more difficult for Bookeen. |
