Yes, you're quite right. The Ballad of Jack and Rose is a fine little film, that grows on you the more you think about it.

That's Hudson Hawk, a fantastic film by the same director who made Heathers and Meet the Applegates (yes I'm a fan)

Bingo! I don't know why it took me so long to watch this movie, but I finally did and it was great. Tom Waits is in it, some of the soundtrack is by Gogol Bordello. It's perfect in my eyes

This is my all time fav. I love to wallow in the atmosphere brought about by a movie and this film is exceptional in that respect.
And btw. wristcutters was a great film, very atmospheric, I like films that go looking for love in places where one would least expect it.

The director is a South-Korean. He's acknowledged throughout the world. Won numerous prizes for direction on festivals in Venice, Berlin and others.

It's so familiar, but I can't place it... I want to say I'm a Cyborg, But That's Okay or Lady Vengeance by Chan Wook-Park, but I've got a nagging feeling neither is right.

No, I have to dissapoint you, it's not among those you mentioned. Different director.
But the Thirst looks really great, potentially another quality vampire flick and those are rare.
