On Bastille Day in 1979, my first child was baptized by a priest who was celebrating his birthday that same day. When his certificate arrived, clipped to it was a note stating that Ben was the first name recorded in the Baptismal Record for the parish.

I do hope you kept the receipt. You might find they refuse to take it back otherwise. Or limit you to voucher for a product of the same price or less...

I thought I'd kept it, but when I got there to take it back, could I find it? In the end I cut my losses, dumped in a dusty corner and legged it.

I do hope you checked that you weren't caught on close circuit television. Otherwise the Galactic Council will be after you for illegal world tipping... I hate to think what the penalty for that is.

Then, the tomorrow after that, i will be going to pick up my brand spankin' new used boat! Yay! Soon to be followed by running aground, sinking slowly into the Mississippi, and dying a horrible death of drowning...

I think the CCTV was pointed in the other direction at the time. I did (discretely) lob a jar of marbles in that direction to cause a distraction.

Ok - my knowledge of US geography isn't brilliant, but isn't the Mississippi a bit further south than you??

(Also, please back a life jacket. You can't die by drowning or any other method until you've finished the current Harv & Vera story, plus all the others (number unspecified and unspecifiable) you've yet to write)

The Mississippi runs from northish Minnesota (right across the river from me) to the Gulf of Mexico. From my house, you can see the bridges spanning the river. So, yes, it does run a lot further south than me, but also a lot further north...

Now, the STATE of Mississippi is further south, and is, in fact, on the Gulf.
