I seem to have entered into a long term relationship with a nasty respiratory virus. Not Covid, not flu - got desperate enough to make doctor's appointment and have numerous lab tests. Staying home, masking whilst outside .... but ... every 4-5 days the sore throat & fever & chills & fatigue return ... again & again ... maybe I should just name it after me and learn to live with it ... *sigh* ... end of rant ...


and yes, I've had all my shots, vaccinations, etc.

I hope you can get over this. I know it's annoying to have an ongoing respiratory problem. When I get a cold, it can end up triggering my asthma. The cold then goes and leave me coughing. That does eventually go.

Sounds like RSV. There's a lot of it going around, and the vaccine for it is a bit pricey. Though at my age, it's now completely covered, if/when they get more of the vaccine in stock.

I live in an area of Toronto with no sidewalks on the residential streets.

I am always amazed / horrified by how many people walk with their backs to oncoming traffic. As a child in England it was drilled into me that if there are no sidewalks you walk facing the traffic.

What I find even worse is those pushing prams and battering on there mobile phones !

I had the vaccine a few years back - not sure if/when it should be repeated - but I'll definitely ask my doctor. Took a wee walk today - fingers crossed for recovery.
