[Free Oct 10-14] A Play Between Moments—genre-bending speculative fiction with humor

Hi everyone,

My novel A Play Between Moments is free on Kindle for five days, October 10–14.

Somewhere in the fine print of existence there's a clause nobody reads: reality is a simulation, and somebody is grading your performance. Our hero doesn't know any of that — he just knows that when a pretty girl catches his eye, time stops. At first it's a party trick: freeze a moment, steal a kiss, come back for cheeseburgers. Then the men in orange overalls show up. And the men in black. And a woman named Jewel, who has a whip, chronic insomnia, and a very pointed question about why he's ruining her caseload.

It's about 60,000 words, standalone, no cliffhanger ending — a genre-bending speculative fiction novel with absurdist humor, a slow-burn romance, and just enough existential questions to keep you up at night.

Thanks for reading.

Running a free window of my own this weekend, so I grabbed a copy. Genre-bending speculative fiction is a hard pitch to pull off in a blurb — wishing you good numbers over the five days.

Thanks for grabbing a copy! I agree, that pitch is hard to pull off — choosing the right genre tag was genuinely tricky. I actually went back and forth on comparing it to Douglas Adams at some point, but that felt misleading too — the book isn't only that, and I didn't want readers expecting a straight comedic romp. "Genre-bending" felt like the most honest option, even if it's a tougher sell in a one-line blurb.
Hope your weekend numbers turn out great too!
