New Updates for CC - September 2026

Hi everyone—Sam here, the owner of Calibre Companion. I’m sorry for the long gap in updates and support. I’m keeping the app and actively developing it.
Calibre Companion 3.0 is now available for iPhone and iPad, with connection and cloud-library fixes, improved subscription handling, live search, better filters, and a refreshed interface. I’m also working on the Android version and hope to have it back out soon.
Existing books and the free library remain available; Premium and ad-free access require an active subscription, including for previous purchasers.
Get the iOS update. I’d love your feedback, including anything that still needs attention.

I don't mean to be harsh but (in my opinion) you've a real uphill task in regaining the trust of the community

Agree with this. Especially since the last "update" done for Android essentially made CC useless with every Android e-reader by refusing to actually connect. I've been using an .apk of the last functional version and I'm not letting anything touch that until/unless I see live user feedback that it actually works properly and is worth my time to consider.

Unfortunately this new update appears to have broke what was previously working on iOS. I can no longer sync as a wireless device without it throwing errors on both CC and on Calibre. I already posted under the Calibre Devices forum and sent an email for support to the one listed on the calibre-companion-website. I also tried to send the CC debug logs in the app under settings unfortunately that email seemed to just bounce back as the domain was no longer active. Don’t know if I should repost everything here? Or is there a way to link the other thread to this one? Still pretty new to mobilereads and don’t want to get in trouble for double posting or whatever.

I have used CC for years now on multiple iPads and loved it. Sure it had some kinks but I could work around them. Glad you are trying to revitalize the app but really hoping a fix can be done so I can get back to my normal reading. I'm still 163 books short of my 2500 book goal for 2026. Reading is the only way I keep my sanity during my chemo infusions.
