We've had a couple of absolutely beautiful days.

Today's high temperature was 82°F. It was sunny, the humidity was very low, and there was an occasional light breeze. The birds seem to be gathering in preparation for their flight south, and the squirrels and chipmunks are too busy gathering acorns, etc., to notice that I'm on my deck.

This time of the year doesn't last long enough.

If I'm to believe the weather folk, the last week of 19°C to 22°C highs and a mix of sun and clouds with some occasional light rain is going to continue for the next week.

When summer ends in NC it's as it a switch is thrown somewhere - we still get hot days but the nights finally cool off < 70 F - producing absolutely lovely mornings.

After yesterday's rain today should be dry and relatively warm, 22℃, there should be some sunny spells, butt also some clouds. Tomorrow it's going to be a couple of degrees warmer and sunnier, at least until late afternoon when it starts getting cloudy and in the evening the rain is coming in. I expect both today and tomorrow that we'll have high humidity, that's been the case for days now.

From Wednesday fall is back again, with rain, wind and lower temperatures.

A very windy day today, but dry and the sun came out regularly. It looks like we're getting a little bit of rain overnight (this morning the prediction was up to 10mm of rain overnight). And from tomorrow we'll be getting a bit of an Indian Summer, with dry weather, lots of sun and temperatures of between 20℃ and 25℃.

Today there was a hardcore music event in a neighbouring town and due to the wind direction is was very audible, even with the windows closed. Together with the wind gust it made for a very restless day for me. Luckily it just ended at 11pm with big firework. Overnight the wind should die down a little, so hopefully I won't need to wear my earplugs (I find it difficult to get a good night's sleep when it's windy).

After another 'unnaturally hot' day in September (temps > 90 F), methinks we're on the brink of a major weather shift - Pixie cat had a massive case of turbo-charged zoomies tonight racing from room to room and following/tripping me as I walked around. When she couldn't figure out which room I was heading for, she simply spun in circles The cold front moving in next week should be a doozie based on this outburst.

The high temperature today was 72°F. It was cloudy and breezy, and the humidity was low. An early taste of a beautiful autumn day. The coming week is expected to be cooler and rainy, so more like our usual autumn weather.
