Top/bottom margins in kepub
After using Kobo devices for 7 years I discovered a strange issue: namely, one cannot increase top and bottom page margins in kepubs. No matter how I tried and what I inserted in the css, top and bottom margins remain the same in kepubs. With epubs there is no such problem.
Is there a way to increase the top and/or bottom margin in kepubs that I'm not aware of? Things I tried include increasing both body and @page margins in the css (using em and px), and increasing padding in the body class. No change with any of them. Again, it's page margins I mean, not paragraph or section margins. |

The add-on Kobo-Tweaks has the ability to reduce the rendering size of the header and footer, which should accomplish the same thing you need. I haven't tried that feature, I use the add-on for the Clock and Battery display options, which are more flexible than NickelClock.

Thank you, but it's not the same thing, as I don't use the header and footer at all. There is a way to reduce top and bottom margins with kobopatch, which I imagine could be used to increase them, but that would affect all books; I'm looking for a way to increase margins only for some books, but not others.
Oh well. Seems there is no way to do that. |

Would not a top/bottom margin in an @page or in body not do?

I've tried in HTML and body using padding and margin.
I have another idea. You could try @page, body, and HTML and use vh with margins and padding. Also try %. I only tried em. Last edited by JSWolf; Yesterday at 02:00 PM. |

Perhaps Jon meant vh (viewport height)?
