KLC Cutting off characters in kEpub

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing issues with kEpubs not displayinbg all of a lione of text?

I'm currently working through the Howard of Warwick books from Kobo Plus and on the second book in the series I'm seeing quite a few lines like the first image.

The book in question is "The Garderobe of Death".

I tried to reproduce, out of curiosity.

Could it be firmware version? Mine is: 4.44.23552

Perhaps it is a renderer issue. Turning justification off and adjusting the margins might help.

The thing is, it would really help if we could see the code. Can you remove the DRM so you can show the code?

Originally yes (unify fonts) but before taking these shots I'd reflashed with no patches

What happens if you turn justification to off? Also, what happens if you change the font?

Whether or not I can resolve the issue by changing justification or font size is moot. The issue is that the renderer is incorrectly handling the material.

Unless the book has a negative margin. it's rare, but I have seen it before. We just won't know if the Kobo is mishandling anything, (and what that thing might be) until someone removes the drm and scrambles the book for inspection.

If the DRM cannot be removed from this book, it can be bought from Kobo UK for £1.99 and the DRM removed.

I have an idea. If you can remove the DRM, do so and use Modify ePub to convert it to an ePub. Then use calibre to make it left justified and then convert to KePub and see what happens on your Kobo.

Problem is with the book, not the Kobo.

More than likely it's highly dependent on the actual glyphs on a line. Scrambling will change the characters being displayed and their related widths.
