Hello Everyone. I have a bricked Kindle paperwhite
Hello everyone,
I got instructions from Claude AI how to Jailbreak my Kindle 11th edition. The battery was to full and I couldnt do the shipping step. I deleted the battery but cant get back to the shipping step. M2L3EK, firmware 5.16.2.1.1, LanguageBreak interrupted at Shipping Mode Error, now fully locked in demo screen. Claude says I might be able to reflash the firmware. I am an electronics tech so I am ok to solder on the pcb. I am hoping that someone has the solution for me. Thank you Tim |

1. I don't know what to tell you to do.
2. Why use Claude AI when there is a perfectly good and updated website? kindlemodding.org; With a PW5 and 5.16.2.1.1, Winterbreak or Winterbreak2 would have been the play I think. 3. Maybe see if there is any information on options on that website for when you've bricked a unit? There is a page there on languagebreak for archival purposes mostly. https://kindlemodding.org/jailbreaki...uageBreak.html and it has a troubleshooting section....https://kindlemodding.org/jailbreaki...roubleshooting |

I don't get why use any AI for something that can go so drastically wrong if the AI is not 100% correct.

Have you tried the double-tap and swipe gesture? If it's locked in demo, it should be a software thing AFAIK.

"I'm sorry, you're absolutely right. I've made you brick your device and I'm afraid there's no fix. Have you tried a live chat with an Amazon chatbot? I should warn you that that's going to be AI too."

AI can be very helpful, if you have enough knowledge of AI. However, never mistake AI for thinking. Neither does it understand wrong and right or bad and good. You cannot trust AI. AI is not much more than a collation program on steroids. It groups bunches of information together and attempts to interpret the results, but not like a thinking person. It's a bunch of very clever algorithms, that isn't foolproof. It is all too easy to fall into the trap of thinking the AI you are communicating with, thinks. Even very smart people can forget what they are conversing with. AI is very clever software. What you can do with AI, is save time, maybe learn some things more quickly, but only if you have enough understanding. AI should never have been thrust onto the general public like it has been. It is still way too soon for that. A lot of savvy folk however, are capable of using it well. AI has helped a lot of folk, but it has also given a lot of grief in the wrong hands. |
