And hopefully you can include the installation instructions.
I have the SD card out, but not sure about imaging steps etc...

I need an image of a Kobo Clara HD N249 with an 8GB microSD card. My microSD card is damaged; it has a read error, and I can't create an image of it to transfer the data to another microSD card.

I just saw that my Kobo Clara HD says:

MODEL: N249 FCC ID: noikbn249 IC: 8857A-KBN24
Software version: 4.38.23697 (ae95f6a7d7, 05/25/26)

But I still don't know which image to record

If you look at the motherboard on a Rev. A Clara HD, near a blank white block, you should see a string that reads: 37NB-E60K00+4A4. The A between the 4s is the revision. Look for a similar string on the Rev. B motherboard which will end in something like +6B1 for example.
