Dealing with Kindle ebooks in calibre

the zip of the dedrm plugin.
if the kindle app closes after logging in, are you running the kindle app on an unsupported win11 pc?

My PC is not running TPM, I'll have to dig out my old non WiFi keyboard to get to BIOS

The My Kindle Content folder is no used by the new app. Look for the downloads in:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Packages\AMZNKindle.AmazonKindleReadingApp_m1sc522ngdk36\LocalState\Classic\Content

Type windows-R to open the run box and paste the following:

%localappdata%\Packages\AMZNKindle.AmazonKindleReadingApp_m1sc522ngdk36\LocalState\Classic\Content

Edit: attached a batch file to open the Contents directory. save the file to where you want and double click on AMZNContent.bat

Next question from the technologically handicapped...... Would I be able to download the book onto my notebook and then transfer it to my desktop where Calibre is so I can work with it there or do you have to point Calibre directly to the directory in the new version of Kindle for everything to work properly? (hope that makes sense)

I tried copying the contents of the archived_kfx directory to a different directory and the calibre was able to import it. See the documentation for the MSIXKFXArchiver1_16118.exe (renamed here to MSKFXArch118.exe) for the directory information.

For most people, "download books in app then run tool without arguments" should work. For more details, ask on github.

The new Windows Kindle for PC app opens, but the last nine books I bought aren't in the library. I synced twice. They did download on the old app and they are in Calibre. I can't find those that did download on the new app. I don't know how to fix this.

Finally got my PC to run MS Kindle, but it's hanging on the loading library screen.

I'll get there eventually.

I had to unistall and reinstall it, all OK now
