The installer for 2.9.1 is not working? Or DRM removal is not working?

The link I used for the installer was: KindleForPC-installer-2.9.71006.exe which I saved a while back.

Did you update the DeDRM plugin? Look for 10.0.0.23 under Assets.

Sadly my 2.8.0 now says you need to download new kindle app via Microsoft Store. I reallybhate using the store version. Lots of complaints about it. I was hoping I had more time. 2 weeks to go. So them doing this early is annoying

Kindle for PC 2.9.1 will perhaps work through Jun 30. Need to use the KFX Archiver instead of the Key Extractor. Jadehawk's techy-notes.com tutorial/scripts may help.

Yesterday I used K4PC 2.9.1 to download some eBooks and remove the DRM. I know this will stop working at the end of the month.

I'm hoping a solution for the latest Windows Store Kindle app is working by then.

Tested 2.9.1 today and it is still able to download and be imported to calibre.

As far as I can tell, the solution for the new Windows app is working at this time. Though I did wipe the old installations for both K4PC and the Windows app plus deleting the Windows app data directory.

New windows version and solution works for me. Had a job deregistering 2.8.3 as I removed it before deregistering so had to reinstall it to deregister - barmy.

For those on Windows 7 or Windows 10 or Linux who have a machine capable of running Windows 11, it's a reason to upgrade to Windows 11.
