Slow when turning on

When I open the cover or press the button, the ebook takes 3 or more seconds to turn on (or maybe it's more appropriate wake from sleep).

This happens since once the database got corrupt after I added some books, and I the ebook reset itself -- I had to repeat the setup, but all the books where there.

Kobo utilities says the database is ok. I tried to repair the Kobo accout. Is there anything more I can try?

Thank you

Are you sure that the Kobo is sleeping and not powered off?

How do I tell? In my understanding: pressing the power button (or closing the cover) puts to sleep, while pressing again (or opening the cover) wakes it, showing the same screen it was when went to sleep.

If I long press the button, it turns off. Sometimes, it crashes and the led blinks. In this case, when turning it on, it shows three dots, and then the home screen.

The slowness I'm talking is about the first case. Close the cover, then open. The Clara continues showing the book cover for 3+ seconds, then change to the current page.

Thank you, it seems to be the culprit! Annoying, since I use a page turner, but better then the delay.

You could use NickelMenu to make a menu item turn off BT and then turn off the Kobo.
