Book list mode with covers!

Installation
1. Download the latest release zip.
2. Preferences -> Plug-ins -> Load Plugin from File.
3. Select the zip, install, and restart Calibre.

This plugin is licensed under the GNU GPL v3.

Hi, thank you for the plugin. I installed it and it's working nicely, but there's one issue: the date column is now formatted like the US default, not like I have it configured in the calibre settings.

I found a few of issues and one major bug. Because of this bug, you should pull the plugin until it's fixed.

It should not turn on columns I don't have displayed when it's installed
It bolded the column headers until I toggled it off/on after install
The dates should not be also displaying the time

The major bug is that it changed the widths of some of my columns. also, it's reordered my columns. Buy default, it should leave everything alone except the title by default.

Cover thumbnail in the list should be optional.
The option to have the BLP button in the Status bar (default) setting only works if the L&F->Main interface->Show layout buttons setting is checked (default is unchecked).
The following L&F->Main interface-> settings should be observed:

Show tooltips in the book list (I have it unchecked)
Show row numbers in the book list (if they're not shown there's no place for Mark pins)
Draw a grid in the book list
Allow using drag and drop to merge books
The current cell isn't distinguished within the selected row (using default palette)
Single click in a cell opens it for editing. Not sure how, but I stopped that behaviour soon after installing calibre in 2012, I have to use F2 to edit a cell… which is as I like it.

Added: Any intent (or thoughts) to make it a per library plugin ?

I'm quite busy at this time but soon I will be able to address all issues.

I don't understand the suggestion to make the thumbnail display an option... At some point I thought of this for some odd reason I can't remember. Isn't the native book list exactly that?

I'm interested in using the Profile feature, don't need covers in the list. A) I don't 'worship' covers, and B) a lot of my 'books' have a minimalist calibre generated cover which I remove from EPUBs with the Modify EPUB plugin.

Re my Item 2, forget it. As can be seen in the screenshot if the buttons aren't shown, BLP is in the Layout icon bar

I removed the zip because I can't be sure there wasn't any major issue, as one user reported. Despite that being a small sample, it might be relevant.

The BLP plugin is not following that behaviour.
