No rush. If they DID happen to fix them though, I wouldn't be opposed to providing updated .qm files for those two languages that Windows users should then be able to drop into their 2.7.5 installations. So long as we don't introduce any new changes that would shift line numbers in the meantime.

In the Transifex system, all translations are performed for Ukrainian (Ukraine) (uk_UA). This file is currently the most up-to-date.
Why do you use sigil_uk.ts? Some time ago, you wrote that you would remove long-unused duplicate language files from Transifex. Last edited by User_Z; Yesterday at 01:10 PM. |

I did not delete any work on Transifex related in any way to active languages. I have added the renaming of uk_UA to uk to my script that handles this. It was properly used. We never look at the sigil_uk.ts file on Transifex any more. If that needs to change, let me know now. Last edited by KevinH; Yesterday at 01:24 PM. |

I remember that conversation. We use sigil_uk_UA.ts file from Transifex and rename it to sigil_uk.ts in Sigil.
Something HAD to have happened on Transifex. Glancing at the changes for the English translation you pulled in today show changes to the About dialog that were made a while ago. There's certainly been translation updates and pulls since that change. |

Yes, I see that too. I think Transifex pulled an old base.ts file from the github repo and not the one I pushed on March 7. Not sure how that happened but Transifex seems to have caught their error and are now using the latest pushed base.ts file.
So something happened at Transifex and it caused older versions of base.ts and some translations to be used for a short time. |

Sounds like maybe we should give things some time to settle on the translation/Transifex front and perhaps shoot for a 2.7.6 release in a couple of weeks?

For those downloading and trying to unpack the Sigil.app-2.7.5-Mac-x86_64.txz , it seems Apple's Archive tool has a bug that will not let you unpack that file but all tests indicate that archive is fine and other tools can easily unpack it.
So you have 2 options: A. Download the free "The Unarchiver.app" from the Apple Mac AppStore. It will unpack that .txz file just fine. or B. Use the built-in command line tar program to unpack it via Terminal.app as follows: Code:
1. Create a folder on your Desktop called huh (or any name you like). and drag and drop the downloaded Sigil*.txz file onto your Desktop and into your huh folder 2. Open Terminal.app and enter the following commands into it cd ~/Desktop/huh tar -jxvf ./Sigil.app-2.7.5-Mac-x86_64.txz Then once the extraction is complete, you should have a bright shiny new Sigil.app folder sitting in that Desktop/huh folder. To leave Terminal.app type in the following and hit enter: exit Then close Terminal.app to get it out of the way. Open up the huh folder on your Desktop and drag and drop the Sigil.app into your Applications folder. You can now trash the huh folder you made on your Desktop. I just tested this procedure on my old Mac laptop and it worked like a charm. If this issue continues in the future, we will file a bug report with the Apple Archive utility but do not expect any bug fixes from Apple any time soon. :( Last edited by KevinH; Today at 03:27 PM. |
