After a beautiful weather week it'll be a slightly cooler (15℃) day with less sun due to Sahara sand. We're going to a theme park today so it's still nice weather for that; dry, not too hot or cold. Tomorrow will be a little bit sunnier and warmer but from next week it'll rain occasionally.

A cool start of the day, 3℃ at 6am, with a very light mist. Yesterday and Saturday we also had very misty start of the day.
Eventually the mist will go away and the sun comes out this afternoon and it'll be around 15℃. From tomorrow the rain will return and temperatures will start to drop, so by the weekend temperatures are back to normal. |

Our high temperature for the day was 82°F. It was mostly sunny with some light breezes. I was able to sit on the deck with a mug of tea and a good book without even a light jacket.
It won't last, though. The forecast for next week promises a few days with high temperatures back down in the 30s. |

Today we return to more autumnal weather. Rain all morning and into the after, colder temperatures (max 11℃) and windy. Tomorrow should be mostly dry, with some sun, around 12℃, but very windy. A good day to curl up with my stitching, a good book and some tea and snacks.

Nothing like a 50 degree drop in temperature to get your attention -- yesterday we hit 90 F, today temps have plunged (so far) into the upper 30's F - after rain that tapered off into sleet (could hear it bounce off my rain hood) - winter has returned after our 2nd false summer ... dang that groundhog
Edit: now sunny and in the 40's F -- going to be some wild days coming up! Last edited by poohbear_nc; 03-12-2026 at 05:34 PM. |

Yep. After 4 days with highs in the 70s and 80s (F), today we had snow. The temperature has been falling all day, but the ground is still too warm for snow to accumulate so it's all melting. That just means that as the temperature continues to fall overnight the road surfaces are likely to freeze. Over the next two weeks it looks like our highs will be stuck in the 30s to the low 50s. Good weather for indoor reading. |

Yesterday was sunny, but very windy. The wind continued throughout the night and won't die down until this afternoon. There's also rain on the way, initially the prediction was it would start raining around 5am, but now that's shifted to around 8am. It'll rain throughout the morning and in the afternoon the occasional shower is possible. At around 8℃ it isn't cold for the time of year.
This morning I should be able to get to work without being rained on and this afternoon it'll hopefully also be dry when I get back from work. |

As others here have mentioned, we experienced false spring and summer this week. Sunday and Monday it was like spring, Tuesday it went up to 80° F., 60s on Wednesday with rain, and back to mid-30s on Thursday with frozen rain or snow that didn't stick.
I decided not to go out today. I was out in the rain Wed. evening for my round trip walk to the pool for lap swimming. I was expecting to take a bus home, but that was not to be, so I walked and felt rather damp by the time I got to my street. Tomorrow I will need to get out again, no matter what the weather. It is 35° F. now at 2:30 AM. |
