Conversion issue due to the new Kindle 5.19.2 update

Hi everyone,

Until about a week ago, I was using Calibre to convert my EPUB files to AZW. One thing I really liked was that the page numbers were also converted and displayed correctly on my Kindle.

However, since the 5.19.2 update, this no longer works. Now the only information I see is the location number instead of page numbers.

Does anyone know why this changed after the update? Is there a way to restore page numbers when converting with Calibre?

Device: Kindle (11th gen 2024)
Calibre version: 9.4
Format: AZW3

Has there been any change in this? I havent seen any other reports of page numbers not working with the 5.19.2. Possibly ask in the Kindle sub forum.

MAYBE.....
For many years I never knew why my kindle with touch screen would show location for some books and pages for others or time left in chapter for others.

Until someone here pointed out that these were Selectable by the user.

Jut tap the lower left corner where it says "Loc: xxx" or "Page: xxx" or "xx minutes left in chapter" and it will cycle through all the options with each tap.

But my kindle is an older version 7th gen so yours might be different but I would think they use the same method.

(The only reason I was seeing different info for different books is because I was accidently touching the corner and not noticing I had changed it)
