Yes. That is the rebuild change for version 2.

In the original version the tracked and finished books aren't the same. Click the KPI cards to see the search string in Calibre. The status breakdown shows Finished, Reading, TBR, Paused, and DNF, if those statuses are assigned to any of your books. Unless all tracked books were labeled finished, then yes, that is the only detail you would see in the status breakdown pie chart.
For the date column(s) - I will work if you have just a "finished date" using at least MM and YYYY in the date. It can then be split into MM (this is for the month read of course) and YYYY (for the year read). DD isnt necessarily needed IMO, except if someone wants to sort data in the tracker tab by date read ("finished date") in which having the day part would be helpful.

Yes, I think it would populate the monthly reads with only month/year. Having the full dates also feed a statistic that tells the reader how long it took them to read a particular book. Or which books took the longest vs fastest to complete. It's not a current statistic on the dashboard right now but was one of the possible ideas to add. (I understand not everyone tracks this detailed. It is just an option).

For myself, my current homebrew is using the finished date from the Kobo last read column and the finished column to display the number of books read in a month. As for how long it took to read a book? I get that from one of Kobo statistics columns fed through another column that reformats the seconds returned by my Kobo into hours, minutes, seconds. The display is as ugly as homemade sin which is why I'm hoping that the final version of your plugin will be able to do a much prettier display.

Then what you can do if using the reading date as the date started if there is no date started.

Hi friends. Last day on my subscription so I will not be able to pursue a second version rebuild at this time. I explored as many avenues as possible: column-free plugin that stores reading events in a separate file (you lose the benefit of directly linking to books in Calibre at which point it does not feel integrated at all); hybrid plugin that allows use of some optional columns (not ideal to have two different architectural setups), and everything in between.

A month ago I started this little experiment with zero coding knowledge. What a wild ride.
I have even more respect for the experienced coders among us who create these great plugins for us to enjoy.
Thanks for all the constructive feedback. I'll be around for small tweaks if needed. If the opportunity is presented again, I will continue on with this project.
