Regarding display on window titles: that was my choice to have this redundancy. I don't mind having duplicate elements on the UI; in fact, those actually help me have quick access to actions, or see from another angle the context I am currently working.

I think the visual checkbox indicator is probably the way to go.

How about dropping the word Toggle, and changing the menu content to reflect what selecting an item will do, i.e. if library path is being shown in the status bar, the menu item would read "Hide Library Path in Status bar" etc.

Better. Title line display survives VL and physical library changes.

Lets leave it that.

But I now know what I don't like about setting check boxes in menus - you can only change one item at a time, to change another item you have to pop the menu again.

I will add an updated image ASAP.

As for better UI, this could be implemented but not anytime soon.

I need to release updates for CCR and release finally the Palette Config plugin, which provides more direct access to palette fine tuning.

Why not the All Actions button?

If you mean why don't I show All Actions, a) because I don't have to, b) for me its easier to hit Ctrl+Alt+A to pop it… remember I'm mouse averse.

The reason Preferences must be in the main toolbar or the main menubar is discoverability. If it were nailed to the status bar like Jobs there would no need to have the rule that mandates it must be in the main toolbar or menubar. Having nailed to the status bar wouldn't mean it couldn't also be in tool bars and menus… but it would not have to be.

Added: I would continue to access Preferences via the book list context menu (or shortcuts for the parts I use often):

What I mean is that the All Actions menu includes an item to open Prefs main dialog
