Question TextAdept with external keyboard

Umm...guys? My last post got lost because Kindle's stupid browser reloaded the page after it went to slepp. So I'm gonna be short.

I'm trying to connect a keyboard to Kindle to type in TextAdept and maybe even other things like KTerm and browser.

I know this is possible because official TextAdept page on kindlemodshelf.me says so.
Because it says external/Bluetooth keyboard I even tried connecting it via an A-to-C USB adapter. No results.

When I try to connect via Bluetooth, I put it into pairing mode, but it just doesn't appear on Kindle's device list.

Did I misunderstand something on the official page?

Or if it's just that Bluetooth device list has audio-only filters, I guess I'm gonna need a Bluetooth manager app (probably a TUI) for armhf architecture. I checked, and my Kindle doesn't have anything starting with hci, no hidd, starting with bt are only "btd", "btmanagerd" and "btconnectionhelper" and there's nothing starting with blu.
I've seen another thread here on Mobileread about connecting a BT keyboard to Kindle but the OP there found a tool called "btui" on their system (even through it didn't solve it for them) that is not present on my Kindle.

Please, help!

Here's the procedure to connect a BT keyboard: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=369712 It uses ace_bt_cli which is a proprietary BT stack (not btui or btd...).
Note that it's still experimental and not trivial. It also won't work with recent keyboards with BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) protocol.

Also, USB host mode doesn't work on Kindle, so USB keyboard won't work.

hey. thank you so much. I'm definitely gonna check that out. Too bad that isn't explained at all on TextAdept page,it just says to connect a keyboard.

Yeah I knew that fact about USB because I tried it a lot before (I even tried messing with loading additional USB host kernel modules), but decided to try just in case.

Thank you so much again!
