Magazines on kobo from libby

did notice is on when I use Libby it almost implies going to the menu that there's magazines. It literally says magazines on the Kobo for a half second and then it disappears. Now when I go to Libby in calibra the plug-in states at the book I have has DRM and it's an epub which is fine but the magazines have a format of "Libby magazine". I have a feeling that from a technological perspective this is possible It's just a licensing issue. I can't imagine why magazines would be such a bad thing through a library any ideas?

I use calibre and yes I get get a fair amount on it but this is odd that it comes and goes so dast

There was a time long, long ago that Kobo supported electronic versions of newspapers. I used to subscribe to some.

The issue with the Libby Magazines is that the DRM and means to download is different from the regular Libby content, and I don't believe it has been reverse engineered.

The Irish libraries use (or did when I last looked) Libby for magazines and newspapers, but it was only for big tablet app, never for Kobo.
