FONT_RAMP not working on PW6
I copy/paste the FONT_RAMP file as per normal into the root of the Kindle, using OpenMTP because it's an MTP device, and I use a Mac. However, nothing seems to change with the size of the fonts. I try restarting, and that doesn't do anything either. FONT_RAMP works on my PW5, so I'm not sure what's going on.

FONT_RAMP never worked with KFX. It may or may not work with KF8.

It stopped working for me some time ago on the PW5 in a test I did to compare AZW3 and KFX, but I can't remember when that was. Currently, it doesn't work on any of my latest-generation Kindle e-readers (all updated to the latest version).

Ah, ok. That's a shame. It still works on my PW5 with the 5.18.4 fw, but not the PW6.

I just tested it on my 6" Kindle Oasis with firmware version 5.16.2.1.1, and the FONT_RAMP file works. They must have changed something starting with a certain version. (I use KFX, so it doesn't affect me, but for those of you who use AZW3, it could be a problem).

Correction. I deleted the FONT_RAMP file from my Kindle e-readers and reloaded it. After restarting, it works on all of them.

Well, in a way, yes. By changing the font size in your ebooks with calibre. Either with the editor, one by one, or with conversion in bulk.

Doesn't work if you have several favorite font sizes you switch between.

Tbh I only use the third font size. I just want to make it a little smaller than the default.

I remember that font size setting were effected as I was fooling around trying to reduce line spacing in Kindle. You could very slightly change the scale of fonts themselves with something like FontForge. That way you won't have to change fonts for every book.

Try some fonts from this thread, then if you see any changes, go and adjust your fonts with FontForge. You'll probably have to do smaller adjustments, and scale your fonts in the range of 98-102%.
