I ran the debug but I couldn't locate any log file, so I copy/pasted the command prompt output into the attached file. It appears to be a permission problem in the ".caltrash" folder in the library folder. |

Yes, the library is located on an internal SATA SSD drive. I have checked and compacted the database several times, but the loading problem persists. |

You can always delete .caltrash if you want. It' used ot store recently deleted books. But that's most likely not a permission problem, instead you have some other software scanning that folder which prevents calibre from accessing it. Typically OneDrive/DropBox/Anti Virus programs.

Thanks for your suggestion. I nuked the contents of ".caltrash" and made a specific exclusion for the folder in Windows Defender. I'll check back in a few hours when the problem usually resets and reappears. |
