Oh, maaan,

I'm.... crying .
Quote:
In Assetto Corsa Rally, sound is crafted for total immersion. From roaring engines and squealing tires to gravel crunch and high-speed wind, every detail delivers authentic feedback. Each sound has been recorded from real cars, capturing acceleration, braking, and drifting both inside and outside the cockpit, and then finely tuned to match vehicle type, surface, and environment. Co-driver pacenotes, developed in collaboration with professional co-drivers and featuring their original voices, add another layer of realism and intensity. Ambient audio, from crowd reactions to shifting weather, completes a breathtaking soundscape, turning every stage into a true acoustic performance.

I ended up listening to multiple versions of this song after one of my neighbours had his son land in hospital in very serious condition after wiping out his father's Tesla Model 3 street racing. Slow down while driving in the rain? What a novel concept.

The picture doesn't correspond with the real band. Hung Jury broke up around 2003, they were only a band for a couple years, and the band was nothing more than a bunch of awesome kids/friends (around 16 years old at the time) playing in basements, small clubs, house parties, etc in the Louisville, KY DIY Punk Rock scene.

It's crazy how the internet works. Don't ignore local/unsigned bands because they just might be your favorite.

Quote:
I saw him twice in 1970 in Milwaukee and Madison WI. They were some of the most incredible moments of my life. Jimi's tune up's were as incredibly unique as he was. Jimi's thumb & fingers were very long and allowed him to create some of his unique sound. He could "bar" the neck of the guitar with his thumb or other finger while playing a cord with the others. His masterly of feedback is still unique to this day. Jimi's could bend the feedback to carry a cord or two or three. His music would draw you in, sometimes it was a rollercoaster ride and other times it was as mellow as watching a sunset on a beach. Contrary to popular belief Jimi never took LSD or other hard drugs on stage. He may have smoked some pot before or on stage but there is no way he could perform the way he did if he was tripping or under the influence of a powerful drug. They acrobatics he performed with the guitar would not be possible under the influence of a heavy drug.
Jimi was the guitar and the guitar was him. They responded to each other in a symbiotic relationship. The guitar was an extension of himself expressing his feelings, desires and emotions like an artist. He crafted the uncraftable. He not only was able to see the music but he took you along with him and shared the dimensions of time and space in a way that was deep and visceral. Like the Beatles he changed the narrative and created something that wasn't there before and at least in my life will never be again. Unfortunately do to the corrupt ex-MI6 agent, turned minor mob type wannabe Godfather Michael Jeffery who clapped into Jimi like a fucking tick and stole the majority of Jimi's wealth, we were cheated out of knowing where Jimi would have taken his music. By all counts, late in 1970, Jimi became aware that it was Jeffery who was skimming his wealth when Jeffery became too greedy and the scim became a scoop. Jimi was trying to build Electric Ladyland Studios in California and had to play extra gigs to make up the shortfall. He was do to comeback from London to finish work on the production of a new album but stayed to confront Jeffrey. The next thing we knew Jimi was dead choking on his own vomit from a reckless use of drugs and alcohol. Jimi may have experimented with drugs but he was never reckless. Only God knows where Jimi would have taken his music but at the time of his death he was musically, in a change of state. Their is no doubt in my mind that Michael Jeffery's was the cause of Jimi's death and it was no accident. This was a time of great political upheaval and discontent with the Vietnam war and governments in both the US & UK were deeply troubled by the influence the music of the day was having on young people around the world. They were not alone, parents were also deeply troubled by it as well. Jeffery's insistence on the sexual antics Jimi performed with his guitar didn't help much although I don't think he could have made a lot of those sounds without it.
Unfortunately, due to the technology of the day there isn't a lot of video of his concerts. In one of the best concerts of his career at Berkeley Community College, the film crew didn't bring enough film to tape the majority of the concert not to mention that they had to be stoned out of their minds and got way too into the songs. They were either adding in their own effects moving the camera around like a college kid on his first trip would do with a kaleidoscope or they dropped the camera completely. Some decent film remains and was patched together into documentaries after his death like "Jimi plays Berkley" and other films.
If you like Jimi Hendrix and never seen him perform you can get a small taste of what it was like as he played the Chuck Berrry hit "Johnny B Goode" at the Berkley concert. A song that seems like it was written about Jimi who completely destroyed the Chuck Berrry version and in my mind "retired the song". I would also suggest Jimi's Isle of Wight concert which was recorded the last day in August in 1970 and released the following year. Jimi would pass just a few weeks later.
I am sorry for the rambling down memory lane. Jimi Hendrix affected me deeply in an almost spiritual way. Even today some 40 years later, hearing a Jimi Hendrix song will still captivate me in a way that is unexplainable. I guess you just had to be there and anyone who attended a concert knows what I mean although I doubt that they can articulate the sensation of the experience any better than I can. One thing is for sure, the name of his first band " The Experience" was just that. Although I thought Jimi's performances were better when he replaced the winy Nole Redding with his old Army buddy, base player Billy Cox, the name of the original band said it all, it was a true experience. RIP my friend. I just hope the angels have ear plugs. My ears are still ringing.
